After reading your post I googled Poor Things, I am going to watch the movie, thx for the advice.
I think you'll like it... at least I hope you will. lol
Great movie
Emma was phenomenal and her Oscar was more than deserved.
For me one of top 5 movies of the last year.
She had a role of a lifetime playing Bella, and she brought the film to life. She seemed shocked to win it on Oscar night.
Too bad the movie had to go up against "Oppenheimer", or it just might have won Best Picture.

She was shocked for real. Expectations were for actress from Flower Moon. She was great too, different more subdued role.
Oppenheimer took most of awards. It is great movie too. Type of movie academy loves.
@EnyojLife Yeah, the great historical movies with a message usually will get the nod for Best Picture. Oppenheimer was awesome in its own right.
I think Emma Stone was shocked for real too because Lily Gladstone won Best Actress for the Golden Globes, and it was almost expected that the academy would vote for a Native American, with Gladstone being the first ever nominated.
@gardenboy321
It was expected and as I said she was great in that movie.
