I am far from perfect. But mixed in with all my imperfections, quirks and idiosyncrasies, I have the benefit, at least, of being compassionate, sincere and trustworthy. So, I'm just being upfront when I say that I am not actively seeking a partner to have and to hold for the rest of my life. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen… again. In fact, I hope it will happen, in time. But right now, I’m working on other plans. Of course, I’ve also learned, the hard way, that life is what happens while you’re making other plans. The thing is, I was married for a very long time, and I would have happily stayed that way, until my dying day. But I lost her to illness, very suddenly, a few years ago. It has taken me a long time, but I am, finally, making the effort to move on. Still, I can’t imagine finding anyone who could fill the empty space she left in my heart. So, I’m not setting my sights quite that high. But, who knows? Maybe someone will come along and ruin all my ambitious new plans. One can only hope.
